I’ve come to terms with the fact that sometimes I will be perceived as a bitch, a termagant. I am sometimes seen as willful, stubborn, blatantly with-no-filter-in-sight honest, secretive, ridiculous, underacheiving, overacheiving, grudge-holding, forgiving, and without qualms, will make my decisions and stay with them. As “Chalklines”, an original production that is happening at my job will tell you, someone is greatly defined by what other people see; that doesn’t mean that many people perceive the same person and issue exactly the same, nor do they necessarily look at it differently.

I’m flexible, and yet will not allow my standards to remain compromised for long. If I bend the rules for you, respect that and don’t ask me to again. Doing so will undoubtedly incur my dislike, but only for your actions and not for you. When someone directly attacks my character, I will not allow it to continue unless there is good reason. If I’m acting like a bitch, tell me. If I’ve done something, TELL ME. Until you do, there’s not a thing that I can do to make up for it, or at least apologize for it.
